異能塾が始まる半年以上前の2016年2月、前職D医大から母校に教授として戻ってまだ1ヶ月。
最初の学会出張がタイはBangkokでのAPFP（アジア太平洋薬理学者連盟）の国際会議でした。

まさかこの時に同じシンポジウムの座長、そして演者でおられた成宮先生、飯野先生と、京都でのWCP2018の準備委員会、さらに本年末のJPW2022／第96回日本薬理学会年会でもお世話になる未来があるとは想像もできませんでした。

The second day of 13th APFP, we have symposium session 3A: Signaling and Transporters in the morning.
第13回APFP2日目、午前中にシンポジウムS3A”Signaling and Transporters”がありました。
I did the chair of this session together with renowned professor of Kyoto University, Prof. Shu Narumiya, and I was a last speaker of this session after Prof. Narumiya and another prominent professor of the University of Tokyo, Prof. Masamitsu Iino. I was so happy to have this chance but I was so stressed together with the two famous professors and I felt that I was like an ant among two giant (former and current president of Japanese Pharmacological Society).
そして私は成宮周教授（京都大学）、飯野正光教授（東京大学）という日本薬理学会の前現理事長と一緒のセッションで講演をすると同時に、成宮先生とは座長をさせて頂くという、とても緊張しながらも大変光栄な経験をさせて頂きました。
江橋節郎賞受賞者のお二人に囲まれると巨人の間の蟻みたいなものですね、、、
I participated welcome dinner at Siam Niramit. I sit together with Prof Masayoshi Mishima, Dr. Yosuke Okamoto, and Dr. Junji Suzuki and we drank severe bottle of thai beer “Chang”. I recommend them to have my favorite dishes such as Som Tam (Chili-Papaya Salad), Pad Thai (Thai rice noodle), etc.
夜はSiam Niramitのディナーに参加。三品昌美先生（立命館大）、岡本洋介先生（山形大）、鈴木純二先生（東大）らと同席になり、得意の？タイ料理をお勧めし、タイビールChangを心おきなく？堪能しました！
After buffet dinner, we moved to the theater to see the one-hour show. It was very interesting and fascinating. I really enjoyed it. But I cannot upload the picture of the show because taking picture is prohibited.
ビュフェスタイルの夕食を済ませると劇場？に移動し約１時間のショー。タイの歴史を追った素晴らしいものでした。ちなみにショー自体は撮影禁止のため写真はありません、あしからず。
